|I think that this is the sort of thing that Sun's WABI does. Also, Novell's
|UnixWare runs Windows programs on Unix, although I haven't found a local site
|to play with yet (I'm aware of one that will be installing soon, but they're
|not ready for me to torture their box yet).

I visited SUN two weeks ago. They showed me the brand new WABI
alpha release. Wabi looks like windows. I played a bit with winword
and excel. Worked very well.

WABI allows you to map any Unix path to a logical DOS drive C-Z.
It's not like in many DOS emulators, that a dos drive C: is emulated
in one large file. No. You have full access on single files of the
Unix path.

You can also use the Windows file manager to perform tasks
on your Unix file system.

You have also access to the 3.5" floppy drive.

It is possible to mount Windows applications via nfs from a novell
file server running Netware NFS, if there is any in the net.

If you have an application Window, you can use the full sun
screen with the full Sun resolution.
It sould be possible to use 1280x1024 resolution on a SS LX.

Great work.
