The Colorado "Jumbo" is not trivial to write for.

1) There is more than 1 version of the "Jumbo", each with different
   requirements.

2) It operates with rather DOS-ISH timming-loops, rather than being
   nicely interrupt driven.

Both the Linux and ???BSD people have been looking at this for some time.
