I am now going to procede to kick myself severely.. (*Ouch*)
I was neglecting to see the fact that... Maybe... The I/O board
was going south for the winter. Well, it's enjoying a pleasant
hibernation in my pile of used, spare, equipment. I took the
compiled kernel, and installed it on a friends machine.
Using the major,minor combo of 16,0 for lpt0 and 25,0 for lpa0
it worked like a charm. I'm going to order a new I/O board
and everything (Crossing fingers while typing this) will be ok.

Thank you for helping out. Keep up the good work with NetBSD
and 386BSD. Hey, it's one of the most cost-effective Unix
solutions for my home. :)
