Can somebody tell me the relationship of etc dist set to the patch kit.
I have a newly installed 386 bsd, with approx 120Mb disk left.

I would like to install Xfree but would also like 386bsd to be at 0.2.3
patch level first to get rid of all the bugs I can.

Does the patch kit patch or update programs from the etc kit ?
If I install the src, then the patch kit ( I should have just enogh space)
install the patch kit, and then de-install the source kit, I should have
enough space left for XFree and some space to develop on.

As far as I can see, this will only work if the patchkit, patches apps
installed as part of the bin dist, and doesn't touch things that come as
part of the etc dist set.

Can someone confirm this, and comment on the sense of the approach ?

Cheers,
