I think it is useful if someone can provide us with a compiled
tiff library (libtiff.a), or at least the file libtiff/tif_fax3.o,
which contains the G3 states.
I tried a lot of times to compile this library (with gcc2.3.3, libg++2.3)
but I ran out of swap space when it tries to pass this file ...
(with limit * unlimited, 8MB ram, 20 MB swap.486sx,no fpu. Also tried
gcc with no make running, no difference...)

Thanks in advance, too,

Sotiris
