I have a computer with an Adaptec 1522 SCSI controller. Will the 1542 stuff
work?

If not, what would be the differences, and difficulty, in writing a driver for
it?

Tech specs and such might be enough -- I'll either upgrade or code a lot. :)

Please mail replies (and post if you want) because I check mail once a day,
and can't from home. :)
