I tried installing the sound blaster drivers in my kernal a week or so
ago. I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions properly, got the
right major number, ran MAKEDEV.sb, etc...

Now everytime I try to use it, I get a device busy error. Does anyone
have any suggestions as to how I can get it working?

My setup is :

386DX33 w/ FOREX chipset.
130MB root partition, 20MB swap
20MB RAM
ET4000 based VGA card
Two serial, 1 parallel card
Sound Blaster Pro (not sure which revision, but I think it's the older one)

The sound blaster is set up as port 220, IRQ 7, DMA 1 (or whatever the
defaults are).

Any Suggestions?

None of the ideas expressed above are acutally mine. They are told to
me by Luthor and Ferdinand, the five inch tall space aliens who live
under my desk. In return for these ideas, I have given them persmision
to eat any dust bunnies they may find under there.
