Horray!!,

This was driving me crazy, I couldn't figure out why it would not hold the  
label.  If I re-labeled after the boot, the mounts worked fine.  Until I  
rebooted again.  I removed the "sf" paramater and it booted fine.  Read the  
label, mounted the partitions and the new swap space.  This explains the "swap  
not configured" message I got too. 

I can't help but think that this might not be the best fix, but I am not sure I  
understand the issues here.
