I repeated the ftp and download procedure with the same results. I had the same results on agate.Berkeley.EDU. Is this a corruption of the original release, these sites, or something in the transfer to my system. I had no problem with the bin01 release. I am ftp copying these files to a unix system, downloading them via modem, and transfering them to disk, I them read them in using mread and try extract. Thanks for your help.
