Somehow my original post got corrupted. I have cancelled the post and will
try to do it again. (Although some of you got the gist of it anyway. Thanks.)

I was wondering if it is possible to try out changes in the kernel without
having to totally reboot. I have recieved some correspondence from a
Linux person that Linux supports some kind of reloader package that makes
it easy to change and test the kernel.
