Has anyone got any real code to drive QIC-40/80 tape drives on 386bsd?
I am working on this a little bit myself, and was wondering who else
had started on this. At first glance, the problem really does look
like it requires gutting the fd driver and starting over....

Oh, about getting info about programming these drives - CMS (the
people who make my tape drive) were real helpful in getting me in
touch with the QIC Committee, who will send all kinds of info
(including all the programming info for QIC-40/80 tape drives) for
free to anyone who asks. They can be reached at 805-963-3853.
