: NetBSD has the same attitude toward GPL'd code as does 386bsd,
: and perhaps even a stronger one.

: As long as i'm in "control" of NetBSD, there will be:
: (1) No GPL'd code in the kernel
: (2) No GPL'd code in libc
: (3) GPL'd code added to the standard tree only

First let me say that I applaud Chris' efforts in the NetBSD development
and respect any decisions he makes with respect to GPL'd code.
Second let me say that I'm a strong advocate of GNU products.

If Holger or anyone else would like to produce a GNUified NetBSD (gnuBSD
(not GNUBSD)) I would be thrilled. Frankly, I had hoped that NetBSD
was taking the course described by Professor Veit above.

(For those who feel swayed by the mostly straw-man propaganda against
the GPL and LGPL, please obtain a copy and read them.
gnu.misc.discuss would be the appropriate place to discuss these
documents or even suggest modifications that might help promote the
FSF's clear intentions.)
