Hi everybody,

I'm running a 386 (33MHz, 4M) with one 200M ide and a 1,5G scsi drive
(Adaptec's 1542B controller). Perhaps this problem has come up previously
in this newsgroup, but I'd be grateful if someone would answer me (I'm
desperate!).
The problem's that I can't boot 386bsd with adpatec's controller attached to the
system (Well I can, but I've got to disable the controllers BIOS). When booting with adaptec attached the system hungs after

fd0 drives 0: 1.44M, 1: 1.2M at 0x3f0 irq 6 drq 2 on isa
as0as : put byte timed out
at 0x330 irq 11 drq 5 on isa

I managed installing 386bsd on the IDE drive by unplugging the SCSI host adaptor.
I'm trying to get a bsd and a dos partition on the SCSI drive (BTW : it's a
Micropolis 1528-15). I've been working with dos and the scsi drive for almost
two weeks now, and had no problems at all.
Any idea on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for your help (and could you please keep the answers simple, I'm new to
386bsd ?)
