<sigh>  we're making *lots* of changes here.  so many that diffs, even
automated, will most likely be impractical.

the problem is, we're replacing many packages with better ones (and not
just GNU stuff, either...) and this will probably lead to *LOTS*
of diffs...

anybody have any suggestions on this?  i'm planning on maybe setting
up a source tree for anon-ftp/NFS mounting soon...  please send
better ideas (in e-mail preferably, because i've been *way* too busy
to read news...)...  8-)
