I don't know which scsi adapter your are running :-(

But here is what I know about the adaptec 1742c and my toshiba 538 1.2G (12ms).

I have to leave my disk drive unterminated for 386bsd the 1742c
terminated.

Also, I disabled all the bios related stuff and left
the scsi seek device and return right after a seek enabled.

For Dos I have to leave the 1742c unterminated and the scsi
drive terminated and naturally all the bios related stuff
enabled.

	Weird!!

With the adaptec 1742B none of the above holds true for the store
checked out my scsi drive with an adaptec 1742B and found no problems.

All this info comes after several talks with my vendor and them
also playing around with my hardware.

Also, I am using netBSD because the stock kernel will not even boot,
got around that problem by shutting of my disk drive.

Must say that I feel that I have been baptized by adaptec.
Currently, happily hacking on 1.2GB + 300MB of disk space.

	Good Luck,
	Amancio Hasty
