Hi all, I've got some problems getting talk to work. Currently, I've got my
machide up and running (big loud YEAH!), but I can't get talk to work
*Internally* between two people logged in on my own machine. It's siting on
my local network and all of the routing and stuff works. I'm borrowing an IP
from a machine that's down now. It has a name attached to it already.
slabibm. if I set my hostname to something other than that, talk won't work.
but...if I set hostname slabibm, it works.

I don't think that it is supposed to go through DNS to do talk though. Me and
my roomates have a machine running slip ( a NeXT), and although it can do dns
look ups, it is not on dns. (we have to telnet into it by number). We can do
talk internally on that machine. This is why I'm confused.

Thanx all.
	...alex...

ps. could someone tell me where talkd is? I can't find it.
