If you have a printcap that defines alot of the fields for an HP
laserjet-style printer, please mail it to me. It would save me
alot of time, since I am boggled by the complexity of most text
formatting programs (especially TeX!).
If you know how to print .smm or some of the other files in the
386BSD /usr/othersrc/share dir, please tell me. Do I need ditroff?
If you have the runtime libraries for scheme-7.2, I'd really like
that, too. I got the .tar.z from alpha.gnu.ai.mit.edu but it has
symlinks (unresolved) in it to /usr/local/lib/mit-scheme/*
and so I cannot run it.
If you know how I can compile TeX (my efforts have been in vain)
then please, enlighten me! I cannot get dvitype.c to compile; some
wierd yacc overflow error. That seems odd, a yacc error compiling a C
program... does GCC invoke yacc? How do I fix this error?
Anyway, thanks in advance - I know I have alot of questions but it's
a real stretch to learn all this stuff at once.
