gzip1.07 and tar1.11.2 are available for anon. ftp from
bsd.coe.montana.edu:/pub/*.  Both of these packages use Berkeley make, and
as such drop right in, and can either be added to the /usr/src/usr.bin
in the case of gzip, or can replace the current version in the case of
tar.
