If anyone is honestly interested in a side-by-side comparison, we here
in the CS department at Indiana are going to be doing one this summer.
We're looking at building a new workstation cluster out of 486's, and
will be using four machines -- two Linux, two 386BSD -- for the first
half of the summer to see what we can get running on each system and
how well each system meets our needs for a public access cluster. While
most of you out there won't be using your machines for public access,
we'll probably learn a few things that will apply in the general case.

If you're interested in seeing the results when they come out in
June or July, send me mail. Don't bother to post, because I'm
putting this thread in my kill file even as I type :-)
