  I run X386 (in mono mode) on my Compuadd 386 notebook without
too many problems.  Be sure to get a 387 for your notebook (assuming
it's not a 486) - as X386 was compiled using a version of GCC which
emits floating point instructions not emulated in the math emulator.

  It's not the best system in the world; the display is kinda small,
and the machine is kinda slow (25mhz 386sx, 8meg memory) - but it
does work.
