  I have installed 386bsd v 0.1 on a 486 PC with a 3COM 3C503
card (it uses twisted pair). I am stuck trying to get onto
our local ethernet. When I issue a "ifconfig ec0 inet" command,
as mentioned in the /etc/netstart file, I get an error message
saying "ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCGIFFLAGS): no such interface". Do I
need to rebuild the kernel (ICK) or patch it (less ick)?
