The patches from 84 onwards contain patches to some of the files
used by config (I forget which ones) ans, as a result of the
patches magic, comments are added to these files.  The original
config barfs on comments, so if you remake and install the
patched config, things should be alright.

(I haven't installed PK0.2.2 yet, and am still living on PK0.2.1
+ PS84-110, but the problem should be roughly the same with
PK0.2.2)
