This is fixed in one of the first patches in the patch kit.  David Greenman
fixed it before there was a patch kit.

This is fixed in one of the second patches in the patch kit. :-)   The bug
can be found easily by running gcc -Wall on ps and picking out the error
that matters from all the other errors.
