	My woes:

I have been trying to get 386BSD up for some time now.
First I found out my controller card was imcompatable...so I got a new one.
Even with the new card (Adaptec 1542C) when I try to boot from dist.fs the drive
light just stays on and nothing seems to be kicking in..not even a carriage
return or the sound of the 3.5 drive reading any information. Presently I have:

Adaptec 1542C (rent what rent..)
A Truecolor graphics card.
Sound Blaster Pro.
External 14.4K modem <- com 1
serial mouse <- com 2
a Toshiba XM-3100
Maxtor 8076 640meg SCSI
and some Seagate 40meg IDE drive
My machine itself is a Packard Bell 386sx (AXCEL 386sx) running at 16mhz

I have both the dist.fs off my FTP corp. cd-rom plus the
dist.fs.att-vect one. I thought the controller card would solve this problem
of the disk not even being recognized and just sitting there, but I should have
known that it would boot anyways but not "see" the SCSI.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Jim Mack
