Bill, the mail I sent you bounced back.  Here it is:  

I have a Cirrus 5420 chip.  I don't know if your driver will work with it.
But I'd like to give it a try.  My card is VC 420 SVGA card.  I don't know
much about compiling X server on my machine, if you could give me some
minumim direction on how to do it.  I have Linux 1.0 and X386 1.2 installed
and the gcc 2.33 stuff that came with SLS 0.99pl6.
