I have a Toshiba XM-3401B working (wonderfully) under 386bsd, it
costed $399 for the bare drive from CD-ROM DIRECT (800-332-2404).

This is a pretty fast (200ms, 330Kb/sec) drive and it has worked with
all the OS I have at home. BTW I use an Adaptec 1542B and Julian's
drivers.

I am just waiting for a nice version of 386bsd(with the patchkit), XS3
and GNU stuff on CD-ROM :-)

Hope this helps,

Claudio. (csilva@cs.sunysb.edu)
