I have asked around on this one <on IRC and some friends> and have yet to get
a specific answer to either of these questions, so, here goes:

EXACTLY what steps are needed to make my 14.4kb modem answer the phone and log
someone in? So far I keep getting "you gotta set it up in TTYS" which for a
unix semi-newbie <at least a fledgling sysadmin> is vague at best. I mean,
what should the WHOLE process be, and what should the lines read for a 14.4 on
com1, and for curiosity how is the ats0=1 and such handled and where?

Secondly, I did this before and it worked, but it has been quite a while, so
if someone could send me a brief description of Dialing a slip-server, and then
setting up slattach and so on, so the nameserver, etc. are recognized, I would
be eternally grateful, and maybe even send ya some hosannahs and such.
