The 0.2 version is currently in the hands of Bill Jolitz, and he didn't
make it (or important parts of it) available; there is a delay for
a number of reasons (no further comment).
BSDI is a totally different thing, because it is commercial. Some people
working on the forthcome of 386bsd have also access to the BSDI source, but
this is no reason to change the horses, even if one of them looks as if
is currently leading. A significant portion of workers is not willing to
spend money for the thrill to work (or play) in the OS area if there is
a cheaper alternative (this is not intended as an offense, there is nothing
wrong with it, and I don't believe that noone can afford BSDI, and I finally
don't believe that 1069,00$ for the source is expensive).

As the newsgroup names suggest, they are for development work for 386bsd
(although BSD386 questions should not be excluded, both systems are still
quite similar).

comp.os.386bsd.development is a public discussion forum where everyone
may tell his/her opinion. Don't believe that this is an internal list of
people who know the future direction. None can tell this for now. Stay tuned
and watch the future ;-)
