It does not exist in any "official" form that I am aware of. We are working
on XFree86 2.0 which will include S3 and 8514 (and probably some others),
with all the XFree86 features you've come to know and love (:->). We are
not yet far enough along to make any estimates of when it will be ready
to ship.

People wonder why this is taking so long. There are some major issues
involved. Some of them have been worked out; some are being worked as
we speak, and some have yet to be worked out. Here's a few of the
major ones:

	1) XS3 and X8514 are derived from X11R5, at a much lower patch
level than XFree86. They were not designed to allow other
servers to be built from the same source tree. So we have to
come up with a source tree that allows everything to coexist.
	2) SVR3, SVR4 and Mach are a bit anal-retentive when it comes to
getting access to the hardware. Some tricks have to be built
in to get access to the extended I/O ports these boards use.
For Mach, we may have to wind up with a device driver. For
SVR4, we had to build a kernel patch (binary, remember).
	3) Neither XS3 nor X8514 will pass the XTEST suite as they stand
today. We intend to not ship any server that performs less well
than stock X11R5 on the XTEST suite (the current XFree86 servers
	   do much better).
	4) Many (most?) of the people doing this work are students. For
some odd reason, they consider their school work more important
	   than XFree86 (:->).
