Hello All,

I have several questions regarding some of the hardware supported
by the current version of 386BSD. In our lab here at the U of Michigan,
we have four '486 boxes with some somewhat odd hardware configurations.
All have 16MB of RAM and 330MB SCSI hard drives. The SCSI controller is
an Adaptec and I saw that the driver does exist for this. Ok there.
Now, the problem. We have two different Ethernet cards we want to
use. Two are 3Com 3c503 cards; the other two are 3c505's. Are there
drivers to support these cards? Just in case, we also have two PC586
Ethernet cards from Intel, but they were discontinued 5 years ago, so I
assume there probably aren't any drivers for them.
Also, we have two SVGA cards we want to use. (Made by Paradise).
Are there X drivers that support these cards? We would prefer to use
them in 1024x768 mode if possible.
The other two cards are made by Microfield Graphics, inc. They
are their V8 cards using 14x11 monitors (1200x1000 resolution). We
would REALLY like to use these with X if possibly. Any one worked with
them? Anyone written a driver for them for a different OS?
Finally, how stable is the NFS software? We want to distribute
the file systems across all the machines, if possible. Is it stable enough
to do serious work with it?

I really appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thanks.
