This might sound silly, but I had the same problem, with linux
and I abandoned it. Hoping that i could do it in BSD.
I'm trying to get my serial port to allow login from another PC.
In linux it hated my serial port and kept respawning to eternity.
What are the files I need to modify to INIT the getty for serial
logins? Where can I find docs about this? Where is the INITDEFS file?
I cant even seem to find it on my system!
Argh! help. I'm frustrated.
Thanks-
Eric
