You don't need all the sources to rebuild the kernel. You only need
the /usr/src/sys.386bsd/ hierarchy (about 5 MB).
If you have access to an FTP site you probably also have the possibility to
NFS-mount a larger disk from a different computer and install the sources
there (that's what I did).
