I don't think this is exactly 100% on target.  Vfs file systems, for example,
are largely portable among all Net2-derived operating systems (well, God
only knows about HURD at this point) and not tremendously hard to add to the
other operating systems which use VFS, if you've got source code.  I don't
want to sacrifice that kind of easy portability.

No, just to clear things up, the above "Just for..." was me writing.  That's
why it's not indented in my original article, of course.
