I've installed 386bsd on a Mitac 386/20 (8 megs memory, 120
MB IDE, SMC elite combo (WD)). I installed bin01 by ftping
the files from another machine but due to lack of disk space
I decided to put all the source on a NFS mounted disk.

I have src01.cpio on the local hd and /usr/src mounted
from a Sun server (4.1.3). Files are transferred to the server
until at some point (2-10 minutes from the start) the system
decides to endlessly wait for something and I have to resort to
ctrl-alt-del. No error messages are displayed and all processes not
waiting for i/o are still being serviced so the culprit might be the
IDE disk (a Seagate ST1144A).

I have tried the latest kernel (pk0.2.1) from agate. It seems
that these lockups only occur while data is transferred FROM
the pc, since I can ftp (get) 40 megs of files without any problems.
The pc usually ends up hanging if files are transferred out from
its hd.

Does anyone have similar problems?

Jari
