Just for info I am running both DOS and 386bsd on a 50mhz 486 with a 3c503 card.

FTP transfers to a Sun workstation across the hall (and a busy network) average
about 64kb/sec under DOS and 300kb/sec under 386bsd. Same hardware different
software.
