Any BSDoid documentation will help. The system administration is pretty much
different to System V, and most of the books out there are for System V, so
make sure you don't get one of those. I don't know of anything recent.

Yes. You need to run a getty on that port.
	man ttytab
	man getty

That's required for a number of reasons, unless you're somehow running the
latest patchkit. If you just installed the system, that's unlikely. If you
have a the patched distribution floppy, you can mount it:

	mount /dev/fd0a /mnt

and copy its kernel in for now:

	cp /mnt/386bsd /386bsd
	umount /mnt

	shutdown -r now
