I tried replacing the distribution kernel with the kernel in the patchkit
directory, and upon doing so, my machine hangs right after the "net 2 release"
blurb (right before the pc3 is found).

I'm running a 25 MHz 386 AMI motherboard, a generic svga board (ET4000), and
a Maxtor 7213 IDE drive. This all works fine with the dist kernel. Anyone
got any ideas?

James
