2 Zyxel 1496's (1 S model, attached to a decserver 700, 1 E model on a
PC running 386BSD). DTE speeds are 38400. MTU size is 1006 (whatever
that is).

Doing an FTP, I'm getting only about 2.5K throughput. Are there
parameters I can tweak in the modem or on my PC to get better throughput?

Not that it's really critical, it's adequate for what I want, but
I'm curious.

Any tips/hints appreciated.
