I am new to this group and indeed BSD so please bear with me. My problem is
that I am unable to bopot my Compaq 386/20 with BSD. I have got the patch-kit
0.2.1 bootables and admit that these get further than any other boot disks
tried so far. The install disk boots to the point where the "title" screen is
displayed but it does not get as far as reporting on devices and their
interupts. The floppy disk drive light remains on and the whole machine just
hangs. Am I missing something really obvious?

The Machine is as follows:

Compaq 386/20
2 IDE drives (quantum lps105AT and quantum 40AT)
2 floppy drives 3.5 5.25
387 Math Co-Pro
9MB RAM
Standard Compaq multipurpose disk controller card
No ethernet

I tried removing the co-pro, the second HD, and the 5.25 floppy and booting
again but same results.

Any ideas?

Regards,
