kvm_mkdb in the rc script gives this error whenever its run:

kvm_mkdb /386bsd : stripped: Inapproriate file type or format.

It creates a .tmp file in /var/run that is zero length.  I think this is
the reason that netstat and a couple other programs won't run for me.  They
report 'no namelist' or something like that.

I just recently installed the system from the new patch-02 dist.fs from
agate.  386bsd is dated the 22nd of January I think.

Any help would be most appreciated, I am very stumped at this point.
