Booting from the (new, patches applied) floppy disk works, but after install has completed the machine pops out the following message during the boot off the hard drive : wd0: error in bad sector file shortly after (messages about probed devices appear) the machine reboots with a message which disappears much to fast to be read. Is the compaq the problem or the corrupted bad sector table ?
