There is another application where this would be EXTREMELY useful. Those 
who are running 386bsd on a notebook and wish to use (for instance) a Xircom
or similar network adaptor (similar I imagine to what you were reading about)
will find that this is essential. Unfortunately implementing this is a little
over my head at present :-)

Find someone with LapLink (or FastLynx or similar) and a parallel cable. If
it will transfer files, your hardware is OK.
