I got curious and pulled a toshiba XM-3301b off a sparcstation at work,
stuck it on my 486 w/ 1542b, and it worked just fine.  Note that I have
installed Jullian's scsi driver -- That probably makes a difference.  I have
not tested it a whole lot, since I didn't have too much time, but it seemed
to work just fine.
