It WILL work with the vga stuff if you have created /dev/vga properly and changed /etc/ttys to spawn a getty to /dev/vga instead of /dev/console. I cannot remember the major and minor numbers but I am someone out there will know. (I could check my system but it is down with another problem:-( ). YOU WILL however have big problems with X.
